Interior Ministry approves new march in Friusa

Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of the Interior and Police has approved a second march in the El Hoyo de Friusa sector, scheduled for April 27. While the specific route for the demonstration has not yet been disclosed, the approval marks a continuation of public mobilization efforts in the area.

The first march took place last Sunday, drawing attention to local concerns. Community leaders and activists have expressed their commitment to peaceful demonstrations, emphasizing the need for authorities to address the issues affecting residents.

As anticipation builds for the upcoming march, officials are expected to coordinate security measures to ensure a safe and orderly event.

Poor decision!

During the previous demonstration a group of the protestors did not adhere to the boundaries of the march. There was violence. Another demonstration in the same area of the violence is throwing salt into a wound. A wounded animal is dangerous.

Agreed. Allowing the far-right to gather amongst those they believe are the cause of their personal shortcomings, is akin to handing jars of honey to todlers in the back seat of your car.

Far-right? Does far-right means patriotism and protest?

Sadly, ignorant and low IQ people think they’re smart, have the answers. Smart people know that there are more knowledgeable and smarter people amongst them, with a better understanding of complex situations.
The Haitians in RD contribute a lot to the economic development of the country. President Luis Abinader knows this first hand. He’s amassed a 70+ million US dollar fortune, while adding to the economy of the country with his businesses and real estate developments. Who do you think built his resorts, cement factory, university? Now these operations bring in money, much from overseas, and employ Dominicans. Provide economic stability for countless Dominican families.
President Abinader pointed out that the Haitian residents of Friusa are predominantly employed in construction, agriculture and livestock. Simply put, Rosa, if your simple-minded wishes were fulfilled, the economy, development and Dominican families would suffer. Take it from someone smarter, more knowledgeable, and more successful than you- Luis Abinader. There’s a reason why “el campos” of various sizes are allowed to exist. Humane empathy aside.

I’m not disagreeing entirely with what you’re saying as you do bring up some solid points. But with that said, that is only part of the equation, you’re not looking at the bigger picture. While Haitian immigrants do bring some value to the Dominican macro economy, they also pose a significant strain on social services. They overrun Dominican hospitals and public schools at the cost of Dominican tax payers. More than 85% of Haitians living in DR are undocumented and do not pay taxes, this is a HEAVY burden for the Dominican state to carry, and it’s already reaching a boiling point, people are getting fed up….

The situation is not complex at all, get off the arrogant cloud. The majority of Haitians (90%+) are illegal low wage workers, essentially modern slaves. The entire construction sector has been replaced by illegal Haitians due to cheap labor. They do not contribute anything to the Dominican society except for cheap exploitative labor. We do not need Haitians, we need the rule of law, to protect our sovereignty and identity. Do you think they simply work for a day and go back to Haiti? No, they become a burden all social services and the nation.
