Jet Set collapse site cleared as authorities begin restoration efforts

Santo Domingo.- Authorities have nearly cleared the area where the roof of the Jet Set nightclub collapsed, following intensive rescue and recovery operations. A total of 221 bodies were recovered and 189 people were rescued alive in the aftermath of the tragedy.
Major General Juan Manuel Méndez García, director of the Emergency Operations Center (COE), confirmed that the site—now referred to as “ground zero”—has been fully cleared of debris and is confirmed to be free of any remaining individuals. He reassured the public that safety is now restored in the area.
Restoration work, led by the Ministry of Public Works, is already underway to repair the damage and return the nightclub and surrounding zone to normal. Cleanup and reconstruction have become top priorities as the government aims to secure the area and prevent future risks. Journalist Jessica Soriano from Grupo SIN continues to report from the scene, covering both the recovery efforts and the ongoing impact on the local community.
Restoration back to normal?? What does that even mean? The government is going to rebuild a privately owned building/discotec?
Suspect what was meant by “restoration” is the barrio minus its nightclub activities, is being returned normal movements and the nightclub remnant is being stabilized for safety reasons
