Abinader and First Lady to attend Pope Francis’ funeral in Rome

Santo Domingo.- Presidential spokesperson Homero Figueroa announced that President Luis Abinader and First Lady Raquel Arbaje will travel to Rome this Friday to attend the funeral Mass for His Holiness Pope Francis. The ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter’s Square.

The announcement was made via social media, where Figueroa noted that the Dominican delegation will return on Sunday, April 27. According to the Vatican’s guidelines, official delegations attending the funeral should not exceed five members if led by a head of state or government.
