Over 500 undocumented migrants detained in Bávaro

Friusa.- As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen immigration control and legal security in high-risk areas, the Dominican Republic’s General Directorate of Migration (DGM), alongside various state institutions, conducted an operation in Mata Mosquito, located in the Friusa sector of Bávaro. The operation targeted illegal settlements on private land, with a focus on identifying individuals with irregular immigration status.
Authorities discovered that most of the occupants lacked legal documentation and confirmed that all were Haitian nationals. More than 500 undocumented individuals were detained and transferred to the Haina detention center for identity verification and repatriation procedures, in accordance with General Migration Law 285-04.
The operation was supported by the National Police’s Special Unit (established under Decree 668-22), the Dominican Army, and specialized tactical teams. These forces dismantled makeshift zinc and wood structures that posed safety risks and violated property rights. To prevent future land invasions, the government has implemented a permanent surveillance system in the area, ensuring compliance with human rights standards throughout the process.
Yes, more. Destroy any settlements around the country. We also need to focus on the pundits who whine and complain about the deportations. These people are dumb, useful idiots who support the passive invasion of our country.
those supporting this should be jailed and fined. not to mention the border should be SEALED completely!
