Dominican Republic and Bahamas Foreign Ministers hold bilateral meeting

Santo Domingo.- Foreign Ministers Roberto Álvarez of the Dominican Republic and Frederick Mitchell of the Bahamas held a bilateral meeting focused on expanding investment, trade, and tourism between the two Caribbean nations. During his private visit, Minister Mitchell expressed interest in accessing new markets for agricultural and other goods imports, highlighting the Dominican Republic as a key opportunity.

Minister Álvarez emphasized the upcoming 10th Summit of the Americas, scheduled later this year in the Dominican Republic, as a prime platform where business leaders from across the hemisphere will gather to explore market expansion. Both sides also discussed initiatives to enhance sustainable tourism, improve air and sea connectivity, and promote youth training and technical development programs.
