Dominican Consul in Orlando urges community to respect U.S. laws

Florida.- Francisco Holi Matos, Consul General of the Dominican Republic in Orlando, Florida, called on Dominican nationals living in the United States to act responsibly and respect the country’s laws. Through a post on his X account, Holi Matos reminded that the U.S. government has the right and duty to enforce immigration laws, urging the Dominican community to support compliance with these regulations.
He emphasized the importance of living within the legal framework to foster respectful coexistence in the U.S., which welcomes Dominicans. The message also highlighted the consulate’s dedication to promoting lawful behavior and strengthening cooperation with U.S. authorities, with mentions of the Dominican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Dominican Embassy.
Imagine if Haiti acted like this instead of attacking us at all levels. That’s why Haiti will always be our worst enemy, and we should do everything possible to separate ourselves from them.
Well said my friend Matos. You made us proud by reminding the Dominican citizens living in the US that they must respect and comply with the US laws.
………And embrace education.
It is a coincidence to see a member of the Dominican government who does consul work telling his own nationals who live in the U.S. to behave right after the riots in Los Angeles, where people are waving foreign flags, mainly from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and El Salvador, to set cars on fire, damage buildings, loot businesses, and physically attack the police, national guardsmen, and federal agents and hold them hostage, which are not only damaging the reputation of those countries they represent but also their own people?
