JCE presents new high-tech ID Card to American Chamber of Commerce

Santo Domingo.- The Central Electoral Board (JCE) unveiled the draft of the new Dominican Identity and Electoral Card to the American Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic (AMCHAMDR), highlighting its enhanced security features and technological upgrades.

Américo Rodríguez, Director of Identification, emphasized that the new card marks a major step in modernizing the nation’s identification system. He noted that it will not only offer stronger security measures but also improve access to essential services, promoting socioeconomic development across the country.

The JCE is actively engaging various sectors to raise awareness and promote citizen participation in this national upgrade, aiming to align the Dominican Republic’s identification system with international standards in technology and security.

See if you can get the US to adopt a similar system. It is desperately needed there. they have no national ID standard.
