Dominican Republic to host 34th IAAC General Assembly

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic has been selected to host the 34th General Assembly of the Inter-American Accreditation Cooperation (IAAC), the leading forum on accreditation and quality in the Americas. The event will take place in Santo Domingo from August 17 to 23, 2025, marking a significant milestone for the country and highlighting the growing influence of the Dominican Accreditation Organization (ODAC) in regional quality assurance.

The IAAC Executive Committee confirmed the decision, noting the Dominican Republic’s progress in promoting technical cooperation and mutual recognition in accreditation across 26 member countries. The assembly will bring together over 100 experts and leaders to discuss critical topics in conformity assessment, process improvement, and service excellence.

ODAC, the national authority on accreditation, will organize the event and sees it as an opportunity to showcase the country’s advancements in quality standards, safety, and sustainability.
