Ito Bisonó to represent Dominican Republic at Global MSME Summit in South Africa
Johannesburg, South Africa.- Minister of Industry, Commerce, and MSMEs, Víctor “Ito” Bisonó, is representing the Dominican Republic at the Global Ministerial Meeting on MSMEs held in Johannesburg, South Africa. The international event gathers government officials, private sector leaders, and multilateral organizations from over 50 countries to discuss strategies for supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
During his participation, Bisonó is highlighting the Dominican Republic’s progress in key areas such as business formalization, access to financing, digital transformation, sustainability, and the inclusion of women, youth, and rural entrepreneurs. He emphasized the importance of sharing national achievements while forging new international alliances to promote equitable and sustainable development.
Bisonó will also speak at the roundtable “Empowering MSMEs through Digitalization” alongside global leaders and institutions such as the International Trade Centre (ITC), UN, and Swift. Additionally, as president of the ProDominicana Council, he will accept the ITC’s award for “Best World Trade Promotion Organization” in recognition of the Dominican Republic’s excellence in trade promotion and investment attraction.
