Dominican authorities arrest and deport one of Panama’s most wanted fugitives

Santo Domingo.- Special units of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) and Immigration Inspectors (DGM), with support from the Panamanian Police, Interpol, and the DEA, arrested Eduardo Lionel Martínez Collins (aka Ameba), a Panamanian fugitive linked to a criminal organization involved in drug trafficking and money laundering.

The arrest took place on Verbo de Dios Street and Estrella del Ote Street in Santo Domingo Este, following extensive surveillance and monitoring. Martínez Collins was among Panama’s most wanted criminals and had a Red Alert issued by Interpol for charges including drug-related conspiracy, money laundering, crimes against public security, homicide, and femicide.

After his capture, he was transported under strict security to Las Américas International Airport, where he was handed over to Panamanian authorities and deported to face charges. His deportation followed Article 15 of Law No. 285-04 on Immigration, which bars entry to foreigners with criminal records or fugitives.
