Abinader submits SeNaSa irregularities file to Attorney General

Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader reaffirmed his stance against corruption by sending to Attorney General Yeni Berenice Reynoso a case file detailing serious irregularities in contracts at the National Health Service (SeNaSa). The documents, compiled after an investigation by N Investiga, revealed anomalies in multimillion-dollar contracts for the privatization of Primary Care services under the Subsidized Regime. Abinader stressed that this step demonstrates his determination to fight impunity, emphasizing: “I may have good friends, but never accomplices.”

The president explained that forwarding the evidence aligns with his consistent policy over five years in office of confronting corruption head-on. He noted on his X account that this decision also serves as a warning to government officials not to misuse public resources. His message underscored that no political or personal ties will shield those involved in wrongdoing, and that transparency remains a non-negotiable principle of his administration.

The file was formally delivered to the Attorney General’s Office by SISALRIL Superintendent Miguel Ceara Hatton and SeNaSa Executive Director Edward Guzmán, as ordered by Abinader. Government spokesperson Homero Figueroa highlighted that this action reflects the president’s firm commitment to institutionality and zero tolerance for corruption.
