National Police seized more than 1,700 motorcycles in Santiago during operations in the last 30 days.

Santiago.- The Cibao Central Regional Directorate of the National Police, under the command of General Jiménez Reinoso, reported that in the last 30 days, more than 1,700 motorcycles have been seized in various preventive operations carried out in the city of Santiago.

According to the official report, the vehicles were impounded for various irregularities, including:
• Lack of documentation.
• Participation in illegal racing.
• Alteration of chassis and license plates.
• Missing license plates.

In addition, firearms, knives, and controlled substances were seized during the operations, indicating that some of the motorcyclists were involved in criminal activities.

The agency revealed that of the seized motorcycles, more than 20 have already been returned to their rightful owners, who had previously reported them stolen.

The National Police reiterated its call to the public, urging all motorcycle owners to keep their documents up to date and ride in compliance with the law, in order to avoid setbacks and strengthen citizen safety.

great job. the motor cycles are a huge problem. not all the laws are being enforced, like mufflers and just reckless driving. you know the police could expand there efforts to other laws like littering and car driving infractions. it is not just motor cycles which is a problem
