Lebanese Syrian Palestinian Club celebrates 100 years of cultural legacy in the Dominican Republic
Santo Domingo.- The Lebanese Syrian Palestinian Club is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, marking a century of cultural and community contributions in the Dominican Republic. Founded in 1925 by Middle Eastern immigrant families, the club has become a cultural hub that fosters tradition, integration, and family unity across generations.
To commemorate its centennial, the Club has organized a yearlong program featuring cultural, artistic, and charitable activities. Highlights include the Lebanese, Syrian, and Palestinian Culture Festival on October 4 and 5, a belly dancing workshop on November 5, a charity bingo on October 30, and a pop-rock concert with Aljadaqui, Neokarma, and 4ta Dimensión on November 1. December events will include a Christmas Bonus, a White Party, and the New Year’s celebration, with additional activities announced through the Club’s social media.
Club president Yamil Attias emphasized that the centennial honors not only the institution’s history but also the legacy of the immigrant families who built a space promoting unity, solidarity, and cultural pride. The festivities, held at the Club’s Santo Domingo headquarters, will continue throughout 2025, celebrating a century of brotherhood and cultural exchange.
