Popeyes to open sixth restaurant in the Dominican Republic this December
Santo Domingo.- Popeyes® announced that it will open its sixth restaurant in the Dominican Republic this December, located in the food court of Megacentro mall in Santo Domingo Este. The expansion follows the successful launch of its first branches in Santo Domingo, La Vega, and Santiago, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to offering flavorful, tradition-inspired dining experiences, according to Isabel Turull, CEO of Grupo Agape.
The inauguration will feature a New Orleans–style celebration that reflects the brand’s roots. Popeyes® will showcase its signature fried chicken, prepared fresh, marinated for 12 hours in Louisiana-style Cajun spices, hand-breaded, and cooked to achieve its distinctive crispy exterior and juicy interior. Marketing director Alexandra Bodden highlighted the popularity of the chain’s iconic Chicken Sandwich, which gained worldwide attention for its standout flavor.
The new Megacentro location will operate daily from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., offering dine-in and delivery service, and bringing Popeyes®’ famous chicken to consumers across Santo Domingo Este.
