Over 1,300 are taught to avert risk in Northwest farm towns

Montecristi, D.R. – Philip Morris Dominicana (PMDO) and the organization Mujeres en Desarrollo (women for development) MUDE, concluded the program “Strengthening the community in risk management and adaptation to climate change in the harvesting communities.”

Philip Morris Dominicana and MUDE sought to provide tools to increase skills in the identification of good practices for disaster risk reduction and adaptation to climate change.

The initiative was developed in five communities: Cana Chapetón, La Caída, Piloto, La Anthona and La Horca in northwestern Montecristi province.
