NYC street name honors Dominican sisters: Patch.com

NY.- Patch.com reports that three Dominican sisters who were killed for organizing an underground resistance against the dictator Rafael Trujillo were honored in the Washington Heights district in Upper Manhattan.

Patria, Minerva and Maria Teresa Mirabal were honored with a street co-naming on Amsterdam Av., in an area home to tens of thousands of Dominicans.
