McAfee will not campaign against the country

John David McAfee was expelled from the country last week.

SANTO DOMINGO.- Lawyers for the American tycoon John David McAfee said yesterday that his representative will not conduct a campaign against Dominican tourism as he had threatened, because he was informed that his dogs are in perfect condition.

The lawyers gave this statement after leaving a meeting with Attorney General Jean Alain Rodríguez, regarding the delivery of the dogs and the yacht owned by the billionaire and creator of the antivirus that bears his name.

“Even a photo was sent to him where the dogs are seen to be happy; so I don’t think he is going to bother to do anything in that sense,” they said.

Carlos Olivares said that the yacht is already in his possession and that they are only waiting for a captain and a crew to arrive in the country to take the yacht and dogs to be delivered to McAfee, who is in London, after being expelled from the Dominican Republic.

They said the money was returned to McAfee and the weapons were seized by the authorities for investigation.
