Teoscar Hernandez secures Dodgers’ victory over Giants
Los Angeles.- Teoscar Hernandez had three hits and three RBIs, including a decisive single in the eighth inning, leading the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 3-2 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Monday, extending their winning streak to four games.
Hernandez’s go-ahead single up the middle with two outs drove in Kike Hernandez, who had doubled off Erik Miller (3-3). This marked Teoscar’s 27th RBI with two outs, placing him fourth in the National League.
“Early in the season, I struggled with runners in scoring position because I was trying to do too much,” Teoscar said. “Now, it’s about having a plan and sticking to it, even if I don’t get the job done every time.”
Tyler Fitzgerald became the first Giants player to homer in four straight games since Brandon Belt in 2018, tying the score at 2-2 in the seventh with a fly sinker from Ryan Yarbrough.
River Ryan, making his major league debut, allowed one unearned run in 5 1/3 innings for the Dodgers. Teoscar Hernandez also homered for the second straight game, driving a low inside slider from Giants starter Blake Snell.
