2024 National Tourism Award to be held in Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo.- In its third edition, the 2024 National Tourism Award will take place in Santo Domingo, hosted in the grand hall of the Catalonia Santo Domingo hotel on Tuesday, September 17.

This year’s award expands from nine to twelve categories, including new recognitions for Alternative Tourism, Travel Agency or Tour Operator of the Year, and Best Tourist Service Provider.

Luis Severino, president of the awards ceremony, announced the move to Santo Domingo after two successful years in Puerto Plata. He emphasized that holding the award in such a key and emblematic destination reinforces its importance as a recognition of excellence in Dominican tourism.

“Our commitment to celebrating the award in Santo Domingo means we must exceed all expectations. This year, the ceremony will include new categories and elements to enhance the night of nominees,” Severino stated.

With the addition of new categories, the National Tourism Award aims to highlight successful experiences and best practices in tourism, promoting a culture of excellence focused on quality and sustainability.
