Tourism Minister David Collado demands progress on Samaná Malecón construction

Samaná.- The Dominican Republic’s Minister of Tourism, David Collado, reaffirmed his commitment to Samaná’s development by demanding immediate progress on the construction of the Malecón in the province.
During a tour of the area, Collado contacted the project contractor directly to establish a clear plan and delivery timeline. He emphasized the importance of results, stating, “In Samaná, we are not here for excuses; we are here for results. This project is essential for tourism and the province’s development, and we will not stop until it is completed.”
In a video shared on his social media, Collado is heard urging urgency, saying, “I need you to finish the Samaná boardwalk. Let’s make a plan and set a deadline, or I’ll have to bring a clock here, like I did in San Pedro de Macorís.”
The minister’s firm stance has been widely praised, with many commending his focus on transparency and accountability in projects that drive tourism and economic growth.
