Santo Domingo.- Arajet, the Dominican airline, has announced the start of ticket sales for flights to the United States, marking a significant milestone after nearly two years of preparation. Initial sales are available for Miami, Florida, with routes to New York and San Juan, Puerto Rico, set to follow soon.

The first U.S. flight is scheduled for April, beginning with New York. Miami service will commence on Friday, April 11, followed shortly by flights to San Juan. Arajet’s CEO, Victor Pacheco, expressed gratitude to President Luis Abinader and Tourism Minister David Collado for their support, emphasizing the airline’s mission to position the Dominican Republic as a major hub in the Americas.

Miami flights will initially operate four times a week, with plans to increase frequency over time. Arajet transported over 1.2 million passengers in 2024 and aims to boost this number to 1.7 million in 2025 with the inclusion of U.S. routes.
