Reconstruction underway in Santo Domingo’s Colonial City
Santo Domingo.- Tourism Minister David Collado launched the reconstruction of Eugenio María de Hostos, Colón, and Callejón Regina streets in Santo Domingo’s Colonial City. The project, costing over RD$61 million, will cover 7.11 km², including improvements to sidewalks, curbs, lighting, landscaping, drainage, and road paving.
The intervention, managed by the Tourism Zone Infrastructure Executive Committee, is part of a broader RD$90 million tourism development initiative funded by the Ministry of Tourism and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
