Samaná boardwalk inauguration set for March 20

Samaná.- The Ministry of Tourism (Mitur), led by Minister David Collado, announced that preparations for the inauguration of the renovated Samaná boardwalk are in their final stages, with the official opening scheduled for March 20.
Collado has closely monitored the project’s progress, recently highlighting the installation of a clock by the construction company as a symbol of its near completion. The long-awaited renovation was necessary due to stormwater drainage issues that caused severe flooding during the rainy season.
With an investment of RD$550 million, the upgraded boardwalk will feature a modern urban design aimed at enhancing aesthetics, functionality, tourism, and the local economy. Mitur has invited the community and media to attend the inauguration and witness the transformation of this key coastal attraction.
