Santo Domingo.- Dominican airline Arajet has announced a new direct route between Punta Cana International Airport and Chicago O’Hare, set to begin operations on November 15. The airline will offer three weekly flights, with tickets starting at US$117 each way. Sales began this Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m.

Chicago becomes Arajet’s fifth U.S. destination, joining Boston, Miami, New York, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. This expansion is part of Arajet’s broader growth strategy following the implementation of the Open Skies agreement between the Dominican Republic and the United States, which lifted several restrictions on bilateral air travel.
