Hotel Equities names Juan Corvinos President of new Caribbean & Latin America division

Miami.- Hotel Equities Group, LLC (HE) has tapped industry veteran Juan Corvinos to lead its newly formed Caribbean & Latin America division. In his role as President of HE CALA, Corvinos will oversee operations across Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Miami, guiding a team of hospitality professionals with deep local ties and extensive regional experience.

Corvinos arrives at HE following a distinguished 15-year tenure at Hilton, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President of Development, Architecture, Design & Construction for Latin America and the Caribbean. During his time there, he helped expand Hilton’s footprint threefold in the region and spearheaded the introduction of several flagship brands, including All-Inclusive by Hilton, Waldorf Astoria, Conrad, LXR, Curio, Canopy, and Tapestry.

HE’s decision to establish a dedicated CALA division reflects a strategic shift toward offering localized, hands-on support for property owners. Rather than managing from U.S.-based hubs, HE CALA will station leadership directly within the markets it serves, aiming to close a longstanding service gap in third-party hotel management throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. The division is organized around two distinct business lines: All-Inclusive Resorts and Urban & Lifestyle Hotels.

Alongside Corvinos, Hotel Equities recently promoted Marilia Pergola to Vice President of Operations for HE CALA. Pergola will be responsible for crafting operational strategies and ensuring consistency in revenue management, brand standards, financial performance, and pre-opening procedures across the division’s growing portfolio.

Currently, HE CALA’s pipeline includes nine properties comprising nearly 1,000 rooms under development in locations such as Curaçao, Dominica, Grenada, Mexico, St. Thomas, and Trinidad & Tobago. As the division expands, Hotel Equities is investing in additional infrastructure and corporate resources to deliver high-touch support, blending global best practices with in-market expertise.

Through this regional approach, HE CALA intends to redefine hospitality management in the Caribbean and Latin America, offering property owners a partner that combines international know-how with a nuanced understanding of local markets.
