Tourism Minister promotes Dominican Republic in key U.S. markets

New York.- Tourism Minister David Collado continued promoting the Dominican Republic as a top travel destination during a U.S. tour that included stops in Philadelphia, New York, and New Jersey—three major sources of American tourists and home to many Dominicans living abroad.
Speaking at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel, Collado highlighted the Dominican Republic’s appeal to over 200 travel agents and tour operators, emphasizing the country’s strong ties with the U.S., its largest tourist market. He later met with airline executives at Conrad New York Downtown to strengthen air travel connections.
In New Jersey, more than 300 tourism professionals gathered at The Westin Jersey City Newport, where Collado showcased the country’s natural beauty and diverse tourism offerings. These presentations are part of his global roadshow strategy, with 84 events held worldwide to date.
Collado thanked travel agents and tour operators for their ongoing support, calling the U.S. outreach efforts a cornerstone of the Dominican Republic’s tourism success.
