La Romana welcomes first World2Fly Portugal flight

La Romana.- On Friday, June 6, La Romana International Airport welcomed the first flight from World2Fly Portugal, arriving from Lisbon and marking the official launch of the 2025 summer season. The airline will operate weekly flights to La Romana until September 26, using Airbus A330-300 aircraft with a capacity of 352 passengers.

This new route strengthens ties between Portugal and La Romana, reflecting growing interest from the Portuguese market in the Dominican Republic as a travel destination. The airport administration expressed enthusiasm for the arrival of Portuguese tourists, highlighting the appeal of the region’s hotels, beaches, and tranquil atmosphere.
