Jarabacoa, DR.- Preparations are complete for the much‑anticipated 14th Annual Jarabacoa Flower Festival, which kicks off this Thursday, June 19, and runs through Sunday, June 22, at the verdant Confluence Ecological Park. Nestled where two majestic rivers meet in a timeless embrace, the park offers an idyllic backdrop for families to revel in the island’s floral bounty, vibrant traditions, and infectious rhythms.

Festival gates open each day at 10:00 a.m., welcoming visitors to stroll among dazzling displays of orchids, roses, tropical blooms, and native plants. Artisans will showcase handmade crafts and traditional wares, while food stalls serve up everything from local sancocho and mangú to international favorites. Live music fills the air each evening at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, featuring headliners Kinito Méndez, Chiquito Team Band, Steffany Constanza, Niní Cáffaro, Jackelíne Estévez, and El Rubio del Acordeón. On Sunday, June 22, the festival wraps up with a grand finale performance at 5:30 p.m.

Behind the scenes, Festival Foundation President Milly Pérez and Founder Eunice Marmolejos—along with directors Alba Yris Rodríguez and Alba Blair—have crafted this year’s program with care and imagination. The organizing team dedicates this edition to the late Professor Jesús del Carmen Galván, a founding figure whose passion left an indelible mark on Jarabacoa’s cultural landscape.

Making a debut appearance is the guest city of Santiago de los Caballeros, bringing its own rich heritage of craftsmanship, folklore, and urban flair to the festivities. As the rivers converge at La Confluencia, so too do visitors from across the nation, drawn by four days of beauty, music, and community spirit that promise to make the 2025 festival an unforgettable experience.
