Tortuga Bay maintains AAA Five Diamond status

Punta Cana.- Tortuga Bay Puntacana has once again secured its prestigious AAA Five Diamond rating, reaffirming its status as one of the Dominican Republic’s premier luxury hotels. In addition, its Bamboo restaurant has been elevated to Four Diamond status for its exceptional culinary offerings in a refined setting.

AAA inspectors evaluate key aspects of each property—including exterior, public areas, guest rooms, restrooms, and overall maintenance—to determine Diamond ratings, which are trusted by the association’s 62 million members. Only top-tier establishments that meet stringent quality standards earn this designation.

“We are very proud to recommend Tortuga Bay with our highest recognition,” said AAA Regional Manager John Lubanski, highlighting the hotel’s consistent excellence.

Located on the eastern coast, Tortuga Bay features 13 beachfront villas originally designed by Oscar de la Renta and renovated in 2017 by Markham Roberts. The resort has been recognized for its social impact and sustainable luxury, winning the 2022 “Change Makers” award from The Leading Hotels of the World and ranking among the top five Caribbean hotels in U.S. News & World Report’s 2023 Best Hotels list.
