Dominican Republic to welcome 22 cruise ships in August 2025
Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Port Authority (Apordom) has announced that 22 cruise ships are scheduled to arrive in the country in August 2025. These vessels will dock at Amber Cove and Taíno Bay terminals in Puerto Plata, as well as the Cabo Rojo port in Pedernales.
Apordom’s executive director, Jean Luis Rodríguez, highlighted the country’s growing appeal as a top cruise destination, citing modern port infrastructure, high-quality service, and safety as key factors driving tourism growth.
According to the schedule, Amber Cove will host 12 ships, Taíno Bay eight, and Cabo Rojo two. Notable cruise liners expected this month include MSC World America, Norwegian Aqua, Carnival Celebration, Oasis of the Seas, and Celebrity Beyond. Apordom noted that arrival dates may shift due to weather, but assured that all passengers will enjoy a first-class experience in the Dominican Republic.
