“Tourism in Every Corner” heads to Dajabón
Dajabón.- On August 2 and 3, the Dominican province of Dajabón will take center stage in the Ministry of Tourism’s “Tourism in Every Corner” program, which aims to boost domestic tourism by showcasing the unique cultural, historical, and natural attractions of each region.
The event will highlight Dajabón’s ecotourism potential, rich history, local cuisine, and vibrant cultural identity. It also seeks to unite various sectors—such as agriculture, hospitality, transportation, and commerce—under a shared vision for sustainable tourism development. The initiative is expected to generate economic benefits and promote the orange economy across participating communities.
Dajabón, a border province in the northern region of the Dominican Republic, includes five municipalities and several municipal districts. It is home to protected areas like Laguna Saladilla and Río Chacuey, historical landmarks such as the Monument to the Cry of Capotillo and the Battle of Beller, and natural attractions like El Salto waterfall and the Honey Route eco-tourism project in Partido.
