David Collado and Del Potro promote Dominican Republic as sports tourism hub

Santo Domingo.- Argentine tennis legend Juan Martín del Potro, two-time Olympic medalist and former US Open champion, praised the Dominican Republic’s strategic location as a key factor in its emergence as a sports tourism hub. Visiting as a guest on Emprendedores con David Collado, Del Potro expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality he received.

David Collado lauded Del Potro’s resilience and highlighted his influence as a role model for young Latin American athletes, reinforcing the country’s commitment to becoming a premier sports tourism destination.

During his visit, Del Potro spent time with 50 young tennis players at the Santo Domingo Tennis Club, leading a two-hour clinic and offering valuable tips to help them improve their game. Having retired in 2022 after a 17-year career, Del Potro is widely regarded as one of Argentina’s greatest tennis players alongside Guillermo Vilas.
