Miches positioned as conscious luxury destination at Top Resa 2025

Paris, France.- George Alexander Nader, entrepreneur and Vice President of the El Seibo-Miches Hotel and Tourism Association (Promiches), presented Miches as a leading conscious luxury tourism destination at the Top Resa 2025 International Tourism Fair in Paris. He highlighted how sustainable and regenerative development, combined with social innovation, is shaping Miches into a model destination.

Nader described Miches as “a collective dream come true,” blending natural attractions—beaches, mountains, lagoons, and rich biodiversity—with long-term development benefits. Promiches collaborates with the government and local communities to promote essential infrastructure investment while supporting projects that create jobs and economic growth.

Since 2021, over US$1 billion has been committed to Miches tourism projects, including six operational hotels and one under construction, totaling roughly 3,000 rooms. Public initiatives include highway development, aqueducts, beach access, and tourist security improvements.

Sustainability is central to Miches’ strategy. Programs such as the Playa Esmeralda Management and Conservation Plan, supported by the IDB and German Development Cooperation (GIZ), focus on reef protection, sea turtle and whale conservation, waste management, and community inclusion. Nader also highlighted the Protortuga program, safeguarding more than 50 km of beaches and endangered sea turtles.
