Royal Beach Hotel Punta Cana introduces a new lifestyle concept in El Cortecito

Punta Cana.- Just steps from Los Corales Beach, the Royal Beach Hotel Punta Cana JdV by Hyatt has made its debut as El Cortecito’s newest lifestyle address. The boutique property, now part of Hyatt’s JdV (Joie de Vivre) brand, blends the efficiency of urban design with the relaxed rhythm of the Caribbean.

The hotel’s official presentation brought together travel media, lifestyle influencers, and hospitality executives during a cocktail event highlighting its dual identity: a refined retreat for business travelers and a stylish haven for locals seeking quality leisure.

A flexible stay for modern travelers

David Paños, Director of Sales and Marketing for both the Royal Beach Punta Cana and Hyatt Centric, described the hotel as “a calm, casual space designed for both leisure guests and corporate travelers needing short, comfortable stays of one to three nights.” With 66 rooms across three floors, the Royal Beach focuses on practicality and rest, complemented by a 24-hour gym, a generous pool surrounded by lush gardens, and intimate outdoor areas for private gatherings or cocktail events.

Operating under the European Plan, the property allows guests to personalize their stay by adding meals or day passes. Visitors can purchase all-inclusive access to nearby Hyatt Inclusive resorts: US$60 for Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana or US$50 for Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana. A connecting bridge and internal gate link the Royal Beach directly to Dreams All Inclusive, offering access to beaches, restaurants, and sports courts, providing “the big-resort experience without giving up independence,” Paños noted.

At the heart of the property’s cosmopolitan flair is Ámbar Fusion Cuisine, the signature restaurant combining local ingredients with global techniques. Guests can also unwind at Bar Colón, a poolside lounge surrounded by tropical greenery, or the Lobby Bar, ideal for casual meetings or evening drinks. Located just 25 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport, the hotel provides a convenient base for executives and short-stay travelers alike.

The Caribbean spirit of “joie de vivre”

General Manager Juan Sánchez called the launch “a moment to welcome both business and leisure travelers to connect and live the experience with endless opportunities to explore the local vibe.” He described the hotel’s reopening as a milestone, marking the arrival of JdV by Hyatt in the Caribbean.

Gabriel Roca, Managing Director of Grupo Martinón for the Dominican Republic and Aruba, highlighted that the JdV brand, inspired by the French phrase joie de vivre (“joy of living”), “perfectly aligns with the authentic pulse of El Cortecito and Los Corales.”

The brand’s Caribbean debut also aims to engage the community with local-friendly experiences such as Sunday brunches and day passes at the pool. With its boutique scale and open-door philosophy, the Royal Beach Hotel Punta Cana JdV by Hyatt redefines modern hospitality in the destination, where urban sophistication meets Caribbean ease.
