“Dajabón Vívelo” Ecotourism Fair concludes successfully

Santo Domingo.- The “Dajabón Vívelo” Ecotourism Fair concluded with great success, attracting over 1,000 visitors and featuring more than 22 local businesses, along with lectures from ministers, institutional leaders, and environmental and tourism experts. The event served as a showcase of Dajabón’s cultural, ecological, and economic potential, positioning the border province as a new hub for sustainable development and investment.

Organized by Congresswoman Daritza Zapata’s Legislative Management Office and the Dajabón Tourism Cluster, the fair brought together national and international leaders who pledged support for Dajabón’s development.  Throughout the event, participants attended panels, conferences, and cultural activities that highlighted the province’s natural and artisanal heritage.

One hundred local leaders were also certified as tour guides by the Ministry of the Environment. Officials including Ito Bisonó, Erodis Díaz, and Eduardo Sanz Lovatón underscored the need to promote productive and logistical investment along the northern border.

A major highlight was the launch of the “Dajabón Green Routes” initiative, designed to create ecotourism circuits and community-led tours that connect visitors with nature and local culture. With its first edition, Dajabón Vívelo established itself as a symbol of transformation and unity for the border region, promoting a renewed vision of Dajabón as “a border that inspires.”
