Minister David Collado inaugurates Dominican stand at WTM London 2025
London.- The Ministry of Tourism (Mitur), led by Minister David Collado, inaugurated a modern and vibrant stand at WTM London 2025, held from November 4 to 6, showcasing the Dominican Republic’s culture, identity, and diverse hotel offerings. The exhibit offers visitors an immersive experience featuring traditional dance performances and tastings of Dominican cuisine, celebrating the nation’s rich cultural heritage.
Minister Collado emphasized that participation in the event strengthens partnerships, attracts new business opportunities, and reinforces the country’s reputation as a premier global destination. He noted that the United Kingdom remains a key market for Dominican tourism, with meetings planned with major British industry leaders throughout the fair.
Supported by Banco Popular Dominicano, Banreservas, and numerous private sector partners, the Dominican delegation includes major hospitality brands such as Casa de Campo, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, Meliá Hotels, and Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana, among others. Between January and September 2025, the country welcomed 151,333 British tourists, a 3.2% increase over 2024, reaffirming the UK as the Dominican Republic’s leading European market, characterized by high visitor satisfaction and strong return intentions.
