Dominican Republic wins three gold awards at 2025 Travvy Awards

Florida.- The Dominican Republic achieved outstanding recognition at the 2025 Travvy Awards, earning three gold awards and several additional honors during the ceremony held at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Center as part of CruiseWorld.

The country won gold for Best Caribbean Destination and Best Caribbean Gastronomic Destination, reaffirming its leadership in the region thanks to its strong institutional positioning and the high-quality experience it offers visitors—ranging from its beaches and culture to its service, flavor, and authenticity. It also received gold for Best Caribbean Tourism Office, a key category that highlights excellence in promotion, communication, innovation, and support for travel industry partners.

The Dominican Republic also secured silver awards for Best Caribbean Cruise Destination and Best Caribbean Honeymoon Destination, along with bronze for Best Caribbean Wedding Destination.

Tourism Minister David Collado celebrated the recognition, noting that the awards reflect the country’s commitment to offering exceptional experiences—luxury hospitality, vibrant culture, pristine beaches, and world-class service.

The country continues to diversify and elevate its tourism offerings through new hotel developments and strategies aimed at increasing value and differentiation in major source markets.

Known as the “Oscars of the travel industry,” the Travvy Awards, organized by TravelPulse and Northstar Travel Group, are among the most influential recognitions in global tourism. Winners are chosen by travel advisors—professionals who directly influence the travel choices of millions of U.S. consumers—making the awards especially meaningful for destinations and providers across the industry.
