Two Dominicans and a Venezuelan in a boat with a thousand kilos of cocaine seized in Puerto Rico

The US authorities reported this Wednesday that a total of 1,006 kilos of cocaine were seized in a boat that reached the coast of Puerto Rico, where three alleged smugglers were arrested, two of them with Dominican nationality and another Venezuelan whose identities have not been released.

US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Air and Marine Operations (AMO) agents estimated the street value of this drug to be $23 million dollars.

On the night of February 27, the crew of a Jacksonville-based AMO P-3 detected a vessel with two outboard motors and three people aboard heading toward the south coast of the island. The crew P -3 maintained surveillance of the vessel helping the crews of the coastal interceptor vessel based in Ponce to intercept the suspicious vessel south of the island of Caja de Muerto, the information details.
