Guatemala.- The Central American Parliament (PARLACEN) has approved the Framework Law for the Promotion of Rural, Agricultural, and Community Tourism in Central America and the Dominican Republic. This initiative, authored by Dominican deputy Luis Coronado Suárez, aims to boost economic and social development in rural areas, preserve cultural and natural heritage, and promote sustainable tourism practices across the region.

This proposed legislation addresses the need for equitable and sustainable management of tourism growth, extending its benefits to rural communities and promoting economic diversification.
