Haiti.- Haiti marked a significant milestone with the resumption of international commercial flights from Toussaint Louverture International Airport after months of disruption due to widespread violence. A charter flight operated by Aeroregional departed for Brazil, signaling progress in restoring economic activities and national security. Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé emphasized the government’s commitment to securing strategic infrastructure and working with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration to lift restrictions, aiming to enhance international connectivity.

Haiti’s National Police reported the killing of 16 members of the Gran Grif gang during a weekend operation in Palmiste, located in the Arbonito department. This action is part of intensified efforts to dismantle armed groups and curb violence, particularly in regions severely impacted by gang activity. The police highlighted significant progress in their operations, which aim to restore order and safety across the country.
