Colombian President Gustavo Petro visits Haiti

Port-au-Prince, Haiti.- Colombian President Gustavo Petro visited Jacmel, Haiti, on January 22 for discussions with Haitian leaders aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two nations. The meeting, led by Haiti’s Transitional Presidential Council President Leslie Voltaire and Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, focused on economic development, security, energy transition, and environmental issues. Both governments emphasized their shared commitment to regional solidarity and integration.

During the visit, Petro and Haitian authorities paid tribute at the Plaza de Simón Bolívar, symbolizing Haiti’s historical support for South America’s independence. The visit also marked a milestone for Jacmel, as it hosted an international head of state for the first time. Thousands of residents lined the streets to welcome Petro, with festivities including traditional music and dancing.

Jacmel underwent significant improvements ahead of the visit, including restored electricity, renovated infrastructure, and reopened businesses. These changes have sparked hope for better prospects in the culturally and historically significant city, signaling a potential revival of its long-neglected resources.

Haiti has been plundered by various Foreign Countries and Domestic Leaders since Independence in 1804. Now Savage armed gangs are destroying whatever is left of this cesspool Nation. There is no hope for Haiti.

The only way for Haiti to move forward is for it to become a full on business state. let some european or american billionaire outright buy the country and labor everyone in it, building factories. its really the only way out of this mess, by transforming Haiti into a full-on corporate state.
