Dominican Consulate in New York honors Juan Pablo Duarte
New York.- The Consulate General of the Dominican Republic in New York hosted a gala to honor patriot Juan Pablo Duarte as part of the Month of the Homeland celebrations, promoting Dominican identity and patriotic values within the diaspora community.
Rafael Santos Badía, director of the National Institute of Technical Professional Training (Infotep), delivered a keynote address titled “The Life and Work of the Father of the Homeland, Juan Pablo Duarte.” He emphasized Duarte’s historical significance in shaping Dominican identity and the importance of preserving his legacy.
Consul General Jesús “Chu” Vásquez Martínez reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering national pride among Dominicans in New York. He highlighted efforts to instill Duarte’s ideals and dedication to the Dominican Republic in the community. The event, held at the Juan Pablo Duarte School in Upper Manhattan, celebrated the values of the nation’s founder.
