Abinader leads Dominican delegation at UN Ocean Conference in France

Nice, France.- President Luis Abinader is leading the Dominican Republic’s official delegation at the Third United Nations Ocean Conference, currently underway in Nice, France.

The conference, which brings together world leaders, ministers, international organizations, and environmental experts, officially opened with speeches from UN Secretary-General António Guterres, French President Emmanuel Macron (host), and Costa Rican President Rodrigo Chávez (co-chair).

President Abinader attended the plenary session alongside Environment Minister Paíno Henríquez; Max Puig, Executive Vice President of the Climate Change Council and Clean Development Mechanism; and Jimmy García Saviñón, head of the National Maritime Affairs Authority.
