Cigua Palmera inspires children with Dominican culture at 2025 Madrid Book Fair

Madrid, Spain.- At the 2025 Madrid Book Fair, Noelia García de Pereyra, president of the Banreservas Volunteer Program, led the official presentation of The Adventures of the Cigua Palmera, a collection of Dominican children’s stories. The initiative, sponsored by Banreservas, aims to promote reading and cultural identity among young audiences.
The event featured Dominican author Aliani Aquino Baroni, who read excerpts from the collection and signed copies for attendees. Key figures present included Giselle Pla, Alicia Baroni, Ambassador Tony Raful, and Sabrina Andújar, all of whom support efforts to highlight Dominican literature on international stages.
