U.S. seizes millions in Nicolás Maduro’s assets, including Dominican Republic mansion
Washington.- U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Wednesday that the United States has seized nearly US$700 million in assets connected to Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Confiscated property includes multiple luxury homes in Florida, a mansion in the Dominican Republic, two private jets, a horse farm, nine vehicles, luxury yachts, jewelry, watches, and cash.
Speaking to Fox News, Bondi described Maduro’s network as “organized crime, no different from the mafia,” and noted that despite the seizures, the operation continues to function.
The announcement follows a US$50 million reward offered last week for information leading to Maduro’s arrest. The Venezuelan president was indicted in 2020 on drug trafficking and terrorism charges.
