Dominican Republic prepares for participation in Expo 2030 Riyadh
Riyadh.- The Dominican Republic’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Andy Rodríguez Durán, met with Talal bin Hussein Al-Marri, executive director of Expo 2030 Riyadh, to discuss the Caribbean nation’s role in the upcoming global exhibition. During the meeting and a guided tour with Al-Marri and his team, the ambassador received updates on preparations and explored opportunities to ensure the Dominican Republic’s active and successful participation.
Expo 2030 Riyadh will run from October 1, 2030, to March 31, 2031, on a six-million-square-meter site in the Saudi capital, designed to welcome more than 40 million visitors. Promoted as one of the most ambitious expos in history, it will serve as a platform for countries, organizations, and innovators to present transformative ideas and solutions to address global challenges.
With the theme “Foresight for Tomorrow,” the event will focus on advancing the Sustainable Development Goals and Saudi Vision 2030. Its subthemes—Transformative Technology, Sustainable Solutions, and Prosperous People—aim to foster dialogue, innovation, and cultural exchange while leaving a lasting legacy of progress beyond Saudi Arabia’s borders.
