This past Sunday, President Luis Abinader stated that he is aware of the worth and significance of this city and pledged to continue to support it with various modernization projects. Similarly to this, the president emphasized San Cristóbal’s natural splendors and reaffirmed that, as a prosperous province, work is being done to further improve it.
These remarks were made as the head of state left a painting exhibition of the personalities of the Dominican Constitution in Piedras Vivas Park as part of the celebrations for the 178th anniversary of the Dominican Constitution’s proclamation. The 178th anniversary of the Dominican Constitution’s proclamation was commemorated with a solemn audience in this city, which is known as the “cradle of the Constitution” because it was where the country’s first Carta Magna was signed. This was the first event the president attended.
The Constitutional Court organized the event, which was held in the Pablo Claudio Musical School’s auditorium and presided over by Milton Ray Guevara, the court’s president.
