Transporters carry out crusade to raise awareness about traffic accidents

Representatives of the National Center of Unified Transporters (CNTU) during the RaulASENCIO crusade

The Centro Nacional de Transportista Unificado (CNTU) held a “Crusade for Life” this past Sunday to raise awareness about the unfortunate traffic accidents that threaten the lives of Dominicans.

The guild president, Williams Perez Figuereo, expressed his regret for the daily deaths due to automobile crashes.

“I regret the drama that family members have to live through when one of their members dies or becomes bedridden as a result of this circumstance.”
William Figuereo
President of CNTU

He added that 2 percent of the Dominican State’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is invested in covering damages generated by traffic accidents.

“It is distressing that 2% of the Gross Domestic Product is being invested in damages caused by accidents,” Figuereo emphasized.

Finally, Figuereo stated that educating drivers and transforming traditional vehicles into electric ones are measures to eradicate motorcyclist accidents.

The crusade was held in La Lira Park on Abraham Lincoln Avenue in the National District.

What about a crusade to educate transporters, owners, and administrators to place safe vehicles, compliant to regulations on the roads, not unsafe noncompliant junks.

Agree. Every road trip long or short for this driver is a battle to avoid becoming a statistic. You have to have gut feelings to anticipate the behavior of road maniacs in order to survive.

Welcome to the jungle, intrant is just screenplay, but have no clue about traffic, or technical experts in vehicles or road safety. Tourist transport is where a lot of the drivers have no clue, come and have a look in punta cana
