Haiti.- The Haitian government has strongly condemned discriminatory statements made by U.S. political figures, particularly Republican vice-presidential candidate JD Vance, who falsely accused Haitian immigrants of eating dogs and cats, claims echoed by Donald Trump. In response, the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (MHVE) issued a statement rejecting these accusations, calling them dehumanizing and dangerous to the Haitian community.
The MHVE expressed deep concern over the disinformation and stigmatization of Haitians, particularly those living in Springfield, Ohio. The ministry emphasized the need for Haitians to unite and stand up against these attacks, which have been used for political gain. In light of these accusations, the ministry is working with diaspora organizations to ensure legal protection and is exploring strategies to protect those affected by such disinformation.
The Haitian government is also providing support through its diplomatic and consular missions, as well as collaborating with community leaders in Ohio and beyond. A virtual meeting led by Foreign Minister Dominique Dupuy discussed ways to respond to these attacks and offer solidarity to the affected community. Local authorities have denied the false claims, which have spread rapidly on social media platforms, further fueled by Elon Musk.

I greatly dislike and disagree with Trump and nobody knows JD but he seems to be just another MAGA guy. That said, here comes some facts. Some Haitians eat cats. They do not eat dogs. They have the same driving skills as all other groups.
Ok… the cat thing. My girlfriend is Haitian. She loves cat meat. She actually did the kiss to the raised had with fingers spreading thing when we talked about it last night.
All that said… I have no idea if the Haitians in Springfield, OH are bbq-ing household cats, but welcome to the world. The division of our planet into gated counties has created a lot of suffering… war, hunger, ect… Embrace the different cultures of our planet and realize that Dominicans are immigrants everywhere but here.
Why bring Elon Musk into this? I do not see how he “fueled” anything like this. The man is just about “free” speech. That has nothing to do with the people that say and believe weird things.
Its not lie. The Dominican cops nabbed a couple of Haitians cooking empanadas with cat meat and dog meat and rat meat. The Haitian government needs to get on there grind and help there people instead of the international community. The Haitians are just trying to survive.
