Port-au-Prince.- More than 120 people, primarily over the age of 60, were brutally killed by the Viv Ansamm gang in Warf Jeremie, a coastal area in Port-au-Prince controlled by gang leader Mikanor Altes, alias “Wa Mikano.” The massacre occurred after Altes accused the victims of using witchcraft to make his son seriously ill.

The killings took place between December 5 and 7, with the victims allegedly targeted after Altes consulted a voodoo priest who claimed that elders had placed an evil curse on his son. Despite these actions, the child died on December 8.

The NGO Network for Peace and Development (CDP-Haiti) reported the incident, but there has been no official confirmation. The massacre has left the region in fear, highlighting the need for urgent intervention to protect citizens in a country plagued by deep political and social crises.

“The world”, as in “you”. Are you going to tell us what you’ve done?
